A friendly face
Color and composition helped soften the bus's appearance. Zigzag lines ran from its “forehead” along the sides, creating a playful, face-like character within Helsinki's visual guidelines.
A shared canvas
The side windows became a surface for passengers to write and draw on with water-soluble markers. Over time, the windows filled with messages from other users. The drawings were photographed and shared on social media before the windows were cleaned.
The project was primarily funded by the City of Helsinki and formed part of the Helsinki Robobusline pilot in Kalasatama, where the bus operated as HSL route 26R.
